The Racing Corsa crankshaft is one of the fundamental components for the transmission of movement: its design and production must be carefully considered to guarantee maximum performance and reliability.
The new Minarelli Horizontal Racing crankshaft is the result of studies and tests carried out by the Athena Technical and R&D Office, to achieve greater resistance in stressful working conditions, even in the most intensive uses. Forged from 18NiCrMo5 high breaking load steel, this crankshaft has been redesigned with aluminum inserts and lightened, allowing for better balance (over 16,000 rpm). In addition, vibrations have been eliminated to benefit increased longevity of the bearings, shims and the thermal part. The crankshaft is perfectly suited to Athena's racing cylinder kits.
The racing crankshaft is available with a connecting rod bore for a 10mm or 12mm pin and comes with a special bearing cage.
Even the connecting rod has been redesigned, with an H shape and forged from 18NiCrMo5 steel, increasing its strength and flexibility compared to those currently on the market.
