When tuning an engine, it is recommended to replace the original carburetor with a larger one, both to improve performance and to maintain reliability.

PHBG Carburetor
This is a 19mm Dellorto PHBG carburetor offered by Stage6. This universal carburetor with a manual choke is compatible with many two-wheelers, including scooters, 50cc motorcycles, mopeds, vintage Vespas, and other vehicles equipped with a 2-stroke engine.

The choke here is manual, so you will have the choice to install either a cable-operated manual choke or replace it with a pull-knob manual choke.

Stage6 19mm Carburetor Tuning
As a general rule, it is recommended to also order an additional main jet set (5mm diameter) to adapt the settings to your engine.

Note: to check if the carburetor is correctly tuned, you must inspect the spark plug color to avoid engine damage. For this, please consult our tutorial.
