Stage6 Racing MK2 Cylinder Design
This Stage6 cylinder offers exceptional performance for a 70cc racing-range kit, positioning it as one of the highest-performing cylinders on the market. This is achieved, among other things, thanks to a new transfer port design that improves torque and ensures excellent reliability. It features an optimized bridged exhaust port, as well as 6 transfer ports (compared to 5 previously) for maximum fuel mixture intake. In terms of technical specifications, the port timings are 190°-130°.
Power and Performance:
In terms of power, the latest generation of the Stage6 Racing can reach between 17 and 19 horsepower, which is about 2 to 3 horsepower more than the previous MKI version.
For reliability reasons, we recommend installing a reinforced crankshaft to withstand the significant power increase.
Regarding performance, to fully enjoy the capabilities of this cylinder, we recommend fitting a carburetor of at least 21mm and a racing-range exhaust.
The transmission, clutch, and ignition will also need to be upgraded.
If you really want to push performance to the limit with very high-end parts and potential additional tuning, it is better to choose the version with a 12mm piston pin (S6-7416609).
Attention: original exhausts are incompatible with this cylinder.
Installation Tips:
For installation, we recommend cleaning your engine before reassembly, checking the condition of the parts, and installing a new spark plug and a new needle cage. Do not forget to adjust the carburetor to avoid any seizing! The squish should be between 0.75 and 0.85. Regarding the break-in period, a minimum of 300km with a 3% oil mixture will provide robustness and durability.
