It allows you to replace a defective or damaged CDI without having to replace the entire ignition assembly.
The CDI controls the ignition operation and spark management according to the curve provided by the MVT Premium system.

IMPORTANT:
Several generations and references of MVT Premium CDI exist.
It is imperative to check that your system uses the PREM06 reference before ordering. Scooter or engine compatibility alone is not sufficient to correctly identify the CDI.
