The Clutch Spring +1000 rpm is an aftermarket centrifugal clutch spring designed for CVT transmissions on scooters equipped with GY6 125-150cc engines, as well as certain Kymco and Honda machines using a CVT-compatible clutch.
In a centrifugal clutch, the friction plates or discs move apart under the effect of centrifugal force as engine speed increases. The clutch spring opposes this movement: its stiffness determines the engine speed at which the clutch begins to effectively transmit engine torque to the CVT belt.
A spring calibrated for +1000 rpm is slightly stiffer than the original, meaning it requires approximately 1000 rpm higher than the OEM threshold to fully engage the clutch. This setting promotes more responsive traction at low to mid-range engine speeds, immediate transmission response, and reduces premature slippage on standard or slightly modified engines.
