Stage6 presents a high-performance scooter clutch featuring three 112mm diameter clutch shoes, which are extra thick to ensure maximum durability.
Adjusting the Stage6 Torque Control clutch
The main advantage of this Stage6 Torque Control clutch lies in its springs, as you do not need to completely disassemble the unit to adjust or change the clutch springs.
Since the springs are held in place by screws, you only need to tighten or loosen them through the pre-cut holes in your Stage6 R/T 112mm clutch bell. If you do not have this specific clutch bell, you will need to remove it, but you will not need to remove the clutch from the torque driver.
Stage6 Torque Control clutch weights
The Stage6 Torque Control clutch allows for the addition of weights, which act not only on the engagement RPM but also on the aggressiveness of the engagement. On race scooters, a more progressive power delivery is generally sought, which is ideal for efficient acceleration out of corners. Conversely, on a daily-use scooter, a sharper engagement might be preferred to improve mid-range pickup or to facilitate wheelies.
With the Torque Control, both configurations are possible: the heavier the weights and the further out they are positioned, the more aggressively the clutch engages.
Stage6 Torque Control clutch springs
The choice of clutch spring depends on the cylinder and the overall setup. We recommend white springs for Sport cylinders, orange springs for Racing cylinders, and the optional red springs for Hyper Racing cylinders.
You can also use it as an oversize upgrade on 50cc scooters equipped with a horizontal or vertical Minarelli engine, such as the Booster, Nitro, Aerox, or Mach G, in combination with the Stage6 R/T 112mm clutch bell.
