Design of the Stage6 Transmission Cover
The transmission cover is manufactured from high-quality aluminum alloy and CNC machined. During the development process, the focus was on rigidity and strength rather than an ultra-lightweight construction, in order to ensure exceptional performance even under extreme conditions.
Compared to the original Yamaha transmission cover, this model is equipped with two needle bearings for the final drive shaft and the intermediate drive shaft. This addition reduces friction, improving performance even for lightly modified scooters.
Finally, you will also find an orange Stage6 R/T FKM transmission shaft oil seal, adding an extra touch to this transmission cover.
The advantage of the Booster, Nitro transmission cover
A major asset of the Stage6 R/T transmission cover is its Viton O-ring. By replacing the paper gasket, this O-ring offers better stability, optimizing the connection between the transmission cover and the engine crankcase. Compared to conventional transmission covers, this seal significantly contributes to reducing the risk of torsion, especially on high-performance setups.
Furthermore, it is not necessary to mill it to install an oversized torque driver. The Stage6 transmission housing is compatible with both OEM and Oversize torque drivers.
Note! On some Minarelli engines, it may happen that the original torque driver rubs slightly against the transmission cover. To remedy this, simply mill the protruding part of the fixed pulley of the torque driver slightly. This problem only concerns original torque drivers!
