BIG BRAKING POWER WITH THIS STAGE6 R/T MK2 4-PISTON CALIPER

Find here the improved MK2 version of the Stage6 R/T brake caliper, successor to the popular MK1 4-piston caliper. Made in Germany engineering meets maximum braking performance. Available in orange, black and hard anodized (highly scratch resistant).

STAGE6 R/T MK2 BRAKE CALIPER TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS:

1. The new design offers a braking surface 20% larger than the previous version.
2. For ease of use, the banjo fitting and the bleed screw are now independent of each other.
3. Addition of a pad spring for greater responsiveness of the braking system.

WHY FIT A 4-PISTON CALIPER ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE OR SCOOTER?

Fitting a four-piston brake caliper to a Motorcycle or Scooter can offer several benefits in terms of performance and safety :

1. They offer greater braking capacity than two-piston calipers, so you'll have better braking modulation. This means you can dose your braking more precisely .
2. They offer better heat resistance and therefore a longer lifespan than standard brake calipers. This can be especially important if you drive regularly or practice competitive driving.

However, it is important to note that installing a 4-piston caliper may require additional modifications to your Motorcycle, Scooter, Maxiscooter or even your Moped. In fact, in 90% of cases, an offset bracket is necessary to adapt it to your front or rear braking system.
If you already have a Stage6 offset dropout, slight machining of the adapter may be required due to the new caliper shape.

We naturally recommend that you completely bleed your brake system when fitting the Stage6 R/T caliper.
For even more powerful braking, you can combine it with the Stage6 R/T brake master cylinders: S6-1400401 and S61400400

Please note: The Stage6 R/T brake caliper is supplied with standard type brake pads. However, we recommend the use of racing pads (sintered metal or ceramic) for maximum braking performance → + 50% compared to standard pads .

TECHNICAL DATA OF THE STAGE6 MK2 RADIAL BRAKE CALIPER:

• 4-piston radial brake caliper CNC machined from high-strength 6061 aluminum
• Piston diameter: 25mm , made of CNC stainless steel
• Central fixing screw (Torx 27) for the brake pad with C-clip locking device
• Separate bleed screw on the rear of the caliper for easier bleeding
• Caliper center distance: 82mm , M8 fixing screw
