Design of the Stage6 R/T Oversize CVT Kit
R/T Oversize Variator
The Stage6 R/T variator features ramp profiles recalculated and optimized for Racing and Hyper Racing engines. It is equipped with 19x15.5mm rollers, which are larger than those usually found on Minarelli engines. This results in a very consistent RPM curve throughout the acceleration phase. The flank angles are precision-machined on a CNC lathe, and the moving pulley face features a reinforced pressure zone. The sintered bushing ensures optimal lubrication properties.
R/T Oversize Torque Control
Unlike conventional steel torque drivers, the oversize version consists of forged aluminum pulleys and an interchangeable guide with two angles of 38/41°. Guides with 39/42° and 37/40° are available separately as options. For riders and tuners, this is a major advantage, as a multitude of settings are possible.
Before assembly, the pulleys are turned on CNC machines, which increases the precision of the part and, above all, the flank angle. Special attention is paid to the surface roughness, as this has a decisive influence on the movement and grip of the belt. Other advantages of the adjustable system are reduced heat generation, significantly lower weight, and the interchangeability of various components in case of wear.
After machining, all CNC parts are sealed with a ceramic coating to reduce wear and increase their service life.
